Payl8r is hiring a Collections Agent in the Manchester/Altrincham area. The role focuses on communicating with customers in arrears across multiple channels to ensure a friendly and professional journey.

You will work within a fast-paced, regulated lending environment with targets to meet and strong attention to policy and customer outcomes. The role requires collections experience, strong Excel skills, resilience and teamwork, and offers a salary starting from £26,000 to £30,000 plus

Qualifications

• Collections experience ideally within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively recover customer arrears via telephone and written communication.
• Set appropriate, sustainable repayment arrangements and manage time effectively.
• Address failed arrangements promptly and adjust to customers' changing circumstances.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure correct outcomes for collections issues.
• Perform general administration duties as part of daily work.
• Stay updated on financial services regulations and complete mandatory training.
• Identify risks and escalate per company policy.
• Participate in collections projects and initiatives when required.
• Aim for KPI achievement and contribute to team success.
• Support a collaborative team culture and contribute to quality assurance.

Role: Collections Agent

Location: Manchester, Altrincham

Salary starting from: £26,000 - £30,000 + Comms

The Role:

The role of Collections Agent at Payl8r is primarily to communicate with our

customers in arrears through a range of contact channels. We strive to ensure

that our customers receive a friendly and professional journey. In addition, we

look for people with great work ethics, the ability to be able to work to tight

deadlines, use initiative and communicate effectively at all levels. We are a

regulated lender and fast paced department, as such we have targets to be

met, all geared to meet our customers' expectations whilst achieving the

business goals.

The role will be varied, it includes but is not limited to the following;

• -To be proactive in recovering customer arrears via telephone, and written communication
• -Great time management, setting appropriate, sustainable repayment arrangements
• -Quickly address failed arrangements in an appropriate and timely manner
• -Address customer's change of circumstances in line with company policy and procedures surrounding potentially vulnerable customers
• -To liaise with other Payl8r departments to ensure the customer receives the correct outcomes to collections issues raised
• -General administration duties
• -Strong awareness of Financial services regulators, rules and guidelines, ensuring completion of mandatory training within set guidelines.
• -To address and raise any risks identified thought the course of the role and in line with company policy
• -To assist in projects / mini-initiatives within the collections function as required

Requirements For The Role

• -Collections experience ideally within a regulated environment

Skills And Qualifications

• -You must be IT literate with experience of using Outlook, Excel.
• -Strong written, numeracy and oral communication skills.

• -To be able to recognise and deal with customers sensitive circumstances and ensure the appropriate actions is taken
• -Ability to prioritise, be organised and efficient
• -Flexibility with the capability to adapt to change, new practices and cope under pressure but with the ability to recognise when to seek assistance
