Job summary

Very Group is seeking a Colleague Experience Lead to shape and continually evolve the experience of colleagues across onboarding, offboarding and the full lifecycle. You will lead a team of advisers and specialists to drive operational excellence, reduce friction and enhance the end-to-end journey using data and feedback.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading Colleague Experience, People Operations, HR Operations, Shared Services teams.
  • A passion for creating exceptional colleague experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, compliance and operational governance.
  • Experience using data, insight and feedback to improve services and inform decision-making.
  • A track record of introducing automation, self-service solutions or process improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation capability within a complex, high-volume environment.
  • Experience building, developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a desire to challenge the status quo.
  • Most importantly, you'll be curious, collaborative and passionate about delivering a service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team focused on delivering a seamless, end-to-end colleague experience across every stage of the colleague lifecycle.
  • Use colleague feedback, insight and data to identify opportunities to improve experiences, remove friction and create moments that matter.
  • Ensure colleague processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with all legal, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Balance exceptional colleague experience with robust controls, governance and risk management.
  • Build and deliver a roadmap that increases automation and self-service across the colleague journey.
  • Use data and insight to simplify processes, eliminate inefficiencies and continuously improve how we support colleagues and managers.
  • Build, develop and inspire a high-performing team, creating an environment where people can do their best work.
  • Set clear priorities, remove obstacles and ensure the team remains focused on delivering the improvements that will have the greatest impact on colleagues.

About the role

At The Very Group, we know that great colleague experiences create great customer experiences. Our colleague experience team are a key part of our people team, supporting the full end to end colleague journey.

We're looking for a Colleague Experience Lead to shape and continually evolve the experience of colleagues across key moments that matter, with a particular focus on onboarding and offboarding. From a colleague's first interaction with the business through to their final day, you'll ensure every touchpoint is seamless, consistent and meaningful.

Leading a team of colleague experience advisors & specialists, you'll drive operational excellence while identifying opportunities to simplify processes, remove friction and enhance the overall experience . You'll use data, insight and feedback to improve processes, increase automation and self-service, and help create an experience that colleagues genuinely value

You’ll balance experience, efficiency and compliance to ensure our processes remain aligned with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing:

Creating brilliant colleague experiences

Leading and developing your team

  • Build, develop and inspire a high-performing team, creating an environment where people can do their best work.
  • Set clear priorities, remove obstacles and ensure the team remains focused on delivering the improvements that will have the greatest impact on colleagues.
