Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting for Cold Store Operatives to join a brand new, modern, automated facility in Derby. Shift pattern is days 06:00–18:00, 4 on 4 off, with pay £12.71–£13.71 per hour and overtime benefits up to £25.82 per hour.

We are looking for candidates with previous cold store/warehouse experience and MHE CB expertise. PPE is provided and the environment is cold (-18°C).

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role: Cold store / warehouse operative.
• Experience working in fast moving consumer goods environment.
• MHE C/B experience is essential.
• Comfortable working in cold environments - temperatures of -18°C with PPE provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and operate automated systems, palletise and store products in correct locations.
• Dispatch goods in line with safe systems of work and operating procedures.
• Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor automated processes to ensure quality standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in work areas.
• Report faults to the team leader promptly.
• Work as part of a team to achieve production targets and deadlines.

Cold Store Operatives Wanted in Derby!

Location: Derby City Centre

Shift Pattern: Days - 06:00 - 18:00 - (4 on 4 off)

Pay Rate: £12.71 p/h (Going up to £12.91 p/h after 12 weeks with added overtime benefits up to £25.82 p/h)

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role: Cold store / warehouse operative


• Experience working in fast moving consumer goods environment


• MHE C/B experience is essential


• Comfortable working in cold environments - You will be working in temperatures of - 18 degrees but all PPE will be provided.

Job Role of a Cold Store Operative:

• As a Cold Store Operative, you will be responsible for the supervision of automated systems, palletising, storing products in correct locations, and dispatched in line with company safe systems of work and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities of a Cold Store Operative:

• Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently


• Monitor automated processes to ensure quality standards are met

• Accurately pack and label finished goods


• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in work areas
