The Best Connection are recruiting Cold Store Operatives for a brand-new, automated facility in Derby City Centre. You’ll work 06:00–18:00 on a 4 on/4 off pattern, with weekly pay and overtime opportunities.

The role involves working in -18°C environments with full PPE provided, at a modern facility for a national food manufacturer. Ideal candidates have cold store or warehouse experience, knowledge of MHE CB, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced FMCG setting.

Formación

• Previous experience in a cold store / warehouse operative role.
• Experience in fast-moving consumer goods environment.
• MHE CB experience is essential.
• Comfortable working in cold environments (-18°C) with PPE provided.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise automated systems and palletise products.
• Store products in correct locations and dispatch according to SOPs.
• Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in work areas.
• Report faults promptly to the team leader.
• Collaborate with the team to meet production targets.

Cold Store Operatives Wanted in Derby!

Location: Derby City Centre

Shift Pattern: Days - 06:00 - 18:00 - (4 on 4 off)

Pay Rate: £12.71 p/h (Going up to £12.91 p/h after 12 weeks with added overtime benefits up to £25.82 p/h)

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for Cold Store Operatives to join our client based in Derby.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand new modern, state-of-the-art, automated facility, working for a national food manufacturer.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role: Cold store / warehouse operative
• Experience working in fast moving consumer goods environment
• MHE C/B experience is essential
• Comfortable working in cold environments - You will be working in temperatures of - 18 degrees but all PPE will be provided.

Job Role of a Cold Store Operative:

• As a Cold Store Operative, you will be responsible for the supervision of automated systems, palletising, storing products in correct locations, and dispatched in line with company safe systems of work and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities of a Cold Store Operative:

• Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor automated processes to ensure quality standards are met
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections
• Accurately pack and label finished goods
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in work areas
• Report faults, errors, or issues to the team leader promptly
• Work as part of a team to achieve production targets and deadlines
