Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting Cold Store Operatives for a brand-new, automated Derby-based facility. You will work in a temperature-controlled environment (-18°C) with PPE provided, at a modern site for a national food manufacturer.

Ideal candidates have cold store/warehouse experience, FMCG background, and MHE/C/B experience. Competitive pay with overtime benefits and weekly pay are offered by an established agency with 30+ years in staffing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role: Cold store / warehouse operative.
• Experience working in fast moving consumer goods environment.
• MHE C/B experience is essential.
• Comfortable working in cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of automated systems, palletising, storing products in correct locations, and dispatched in line with company safe systems of work and operating procedures.
• Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor automated processes to ensure quality standards are met
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections
• Accurately pack and label finished goods
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in work areas
• Report faults, errors, or issues to the team leader promptly
• Work as part of a team to achieve production targets and deadlines

Pay Rate: £12.71 p/h (Going up to £12.91 p/h after 12 weeks with added overtime benefits up to £25.82 p/h)

Cold Store Operatives to join our client based in Derby.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand new modern, state-of-the-art, automated facility, working for a national food manufacturer.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role: Cold store / warehouse operative
• Experience working in fast moving consumer goods environment

MHE C/B experience is essential

• Comfortable working in cold environments -

You will be working in temperatures of - 18 degrees but all PPE will be provided.

Job Role of a Cold Store Operative:
