Job summary

ABP UK Glasgow Penston site seeks a Supervisor to manage day‑to‑day storage, stock control and despatch at an external facility. You will ensure accurate records, traceability, rotation and compliant documentation to meet customer and regulatory standards.

The role requires experience in despatch or warehousing, strong leadership, and a commitment to Health & Safety and food safety practices across the operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in despatch, warehousing, logistics, or stock control.
• Experience supervising or coordinating employees in an operational environment.
• Strong understanding of stock control, traceability and inventory management.
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams and external providers.
• Competent in stock management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining operational standards.
• Commitment to health & safety, food safety, quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily intake, storage, stock movement and despatch of ABP product.
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure full traceability from receipt to despatch.
• Ensure stock rotation and utilisation of storage locations.
• Carry out regular stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure despatches and documentation are accurate and compliant.
• Act as main day‑to‑day contact between external facility and ABP Penston.
• Communicate shortages, delays and risks promptly.
• Coordinate daily workload and maintain training and competency standards.
• Follow ABP procedures on stock handling, food safety and quality.
• Collaborate with Planning, Operations and Technical teams to meet requirements.
