Zusammenfassung

Coil Winder position based in Norwich with relocation from Leeds. £16.38-£19.71 per hour (£31,941-£38,435 per year) for 37.5 hours/week, on-site. Monday-Thursday 8:00-16:45, Friday 8:00-12:30.

Hands-on electrical winding with clear drawings and quality standards; early Friday finish. The role requires experience in coil/motor winding, reading drawings, and a practical, team‑oriented approach with safety and manual handling in mind.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in coil or motor winding and ability to understand technical drawings.
• Practical approach and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Ability to use your initiative and work well within a team.
• Understanding of safe working practices.
• Ability to carry out manual handling involved in the role.
• Experience in one-off or small-batch manufacturing would be advantageous.
• Bar winding experience preferred, but not essential; experience with wire wound motors welcomed.

Aufgaben

• Wind and connect electric motor rotor and stator windings following drawings.
• Produce windings using high-voltage rectangular copper strip coils.
• Work accurately to electrical drawings and specifications.
• Maintain consistently high standards of workmanship and quality.
• Use workshop machinery and equipment, including overhead cranes, welding and brazing equipment, multimeters and hand tools.
• Support quality and business improvement initiatives.
• Work flexibly with colleagues while following health, safety and environmental requirements.
