Job summary
ATB Group UK Ltd in Norwich is seeking an experienced Windings Operator to produce electric motor windings in a tight, quality-focused environment. You will follow technical drawings, assemble windings using copper coils and operate related machinery, including an overhead crane and testing equipment.
The role requires ability to work from drawings, perform manual handling tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement. 37.5 hours per week, with onsite parking and pension support available.
Qualifications
- Able to understand technical drawings and work from them.
- Experience in custom “one off” or small batch manufacture.
- Strong commitment to safe working practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of manual handling, slingings and lifting techniques.
Responsibilities
- Wind electric rotor and stator windings.
- Work to electrical drawings, specifications and high-quality standards.
- Wind using copper coils (high voltage rectangular strip).
- Support quality and business improvement initiatives.
- Support other operators as needed.
- Operate machinery and equipment including overhead crane, welding/brazing, multimeters and hand tools.
- Carry out other tasks as requested by Line Manager within the role.
