Quartzelec seeks a Coil Operator in the United Kingdom, responsible for producing coils while ensuring health, safety, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include operating machinery, following safety procedures, and maintaining an organized workspace. Ideal candidates will have a GCSE in Maths and English and experience in machinery operation, coil manufacturing or assembly, and basic quality inspection. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Experience in coil manufacturing or hand taping is preferred.
• Previous production, manufacturing, or assembly experience is a plus.
• Awareness of lean manufacturing principles is valuable.

As a Coil Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of coils in line with customer and business requirements. You will operate machinery, follow detailed work instructions, monitor product quality, and ensure production targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and quality at all times
• Follow all risk assessments, safe systems of work, and procedures
• Use PPE correctly and consistently
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organised workspace
• Escalate any safety concerns and stop production if required
• GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
• Experience setting and operating machinery
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Understanding of health & safety in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience in coil manufacturing or hand taping
• Previous production, manufacturing, or assembly experience
• Basic quality inspection knowledge
• Awareness of lean manufacturing principles
