Job summary

Touchstone in Leeds is recruiting eight full-time Cognitive Behavioural Therapists to join the NHS Talking Therapies service across Touchstone, Northpoint or Leeds Community Healthcare (LCH).

Applicants should have the NHS Talking Therapies LTC qualification or be prepared to complete LTC training within two years of qualifying; closing date is 25 November 2026 and interviews follow on 10-11 December 2026.

Qualifications

• Must hold the relevant CBT qualification; applications from those without will not be accepted.
• If undertaking NHS Talking Therapies LTC training is not yet complete, it may be required within two years of qualifying.
• Qualified CBT therapists with NHS IAPT credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based CBT interventions within the NHS Talking Therapies framework.
• Work with clients, including those with long-term health conditions, and complete LTC training if required.
• Collaborate with Touchstone, Northpoint or Leeds Community Healthcare teams to provide timely support.

Touchstone is a partner within Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service. The service offers a range of evidence-based psychological interventions both at step 2 and step 3 as proposed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the team for 8 full-time Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) positions to join either Touchstone, Northpoint or Leeds Community Healthcare (LCH) and contribute to the innovation and success of our well-established talking therapies service.

NHS Talking Therapies guidance states that CBT therapists working with clients who have long-term health conditions (LTCs) should complete the LTC training within two years of qualifying. As supporting clients with LTCs is an expected part of the role, therapists who have been qualified for two years and have not yet completed the NHS Talking Therapies LTC course may be asked to undertake this training. If you do not hold the relevant qualification for the post (i.e. Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Course (Post Graduate Diploma) OR A post graduate qualification in CBT to at least the equivalent of a post graduate diploma) applications will not be accepted.
