Job summary

Leyton-based engineerings specialist, Ltek Recruitment Ltd, is helping a client in Peterborough recruit a Class 1 TIG Welder for its high-integrity pipework production team.

The role focuses on TIG welding of stainless and carbon steel pipework and assemblies, reading weld procedures and drawings, and delivering high-quality welds to exacting standards in a day-shift, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Class 1 TIG welding experience is essential.
• Experience with high-integrity pipework fabrication.
• Able to read engineering drawings and weld procedures.

Responsibilities

Coded TIG Welder / Class 1 Welder - £40k

Up to £40,000 + Benefits | Permanent | Days

Are you an experienced Class 1 TIG Welder looking for a permanent position within a high-quality specialist engineering environment?

We are working with an established engineering manufacturer looking to add an experienced TIG Welder to its production team.

This is not general fabrication work. You'll be producing high-integrity welded pipework and assemblies where weld quality, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

The Role

• Class 1 TIG welding
• TIG welding of pipework and fabricated assemblies
• Working with stainless and carbon steels
• Working from engineering drawings and weld procedures
• Preparing, fitting and positioning pipe/components
• Producing high-quality welds to specification
• Working to demanding quality and safety standards
• Inspection and checking of completed work
• Working alongside experienced fabrication and engineering teams

What We're Looking For

Class 1 TIG welding experience is essential.

Ideally, you'll also have experience in some of the following:

• Coded TIG welding
• Pipe welding / pipe fabrication
• 6G welding
• Purge welding
• Stainless steel
• Carbon steel
• Pressure pipework or pressure systems
• ASME / EN standards
• High-integrity fabrication
• Specialist or exotic materials

Experience within process engineering, pressure systems, power generation, petrochemical, energy or other high-integrity engineering environments would be advantageous but isn't essential.
