Job summary

Proman in Wakefield is seeking an experienced coded pipe welder to join a busy engineering and fabrication environment. You will weld carbon steel pipework to coded standards, reading drawings and adhering to weld procedures.

The role covers TIG, MIG, MMA or FCAW processes, with attention to quality, safety and workmanship. This temporary contract offers ongoing work and opportunities on varied projects, with pay £18–£21 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Experienced coded pipe welder in carbon steel wiring on pipework
• Familiar with TIG, MIG, MMA or FCAW processes
• Able to read engineering drawings and weld symbols
• Compliant with health and safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Carry out coded welding on carbon steel pipework and associated components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols and fabrication specifications.
• Prepare, tack, weld, grind and finish materials to required standards.
• Complete pipe welding using TIG, MIG, MMA or FCAW as required.
• Follow approved weld procedures, ensuring weld quality and finish meet standards.
