Job summary

MEP Technical Talent is recruiting for experienced Coded Welder Pipefitters for an ongoing commercial project based in Haydock. You will perform installation, fabrication and welding of carbon steel pipework and will read isometrics and schematics to ensure accurate tie-ins.

Candidates should hold a CSCS or JIB-PMES/Skillcard with active Coded TIG/MMA qualifications. NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting/Welding and solid experience on commercial M&E installations are required.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card or JIB-PMES / Skillcard required.
• Active or previous Coded Qualifications (TIG / MMA) BS EN ISO 9606-1 or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting / Welding or recognized indentured apprenticeship.
• Proven experience on commercial M&E, fuel oil, cooling loops, or heavy plant installations.

Job description

MEP Technical Talent is currently recruiting for experienced Coded Welder Pipefitters for an ongoing commercial project based in Haydock.

We are looking for operatives with strong experience working on mechanical services, heavy plant, cooling systems, or generator set pipework installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, fabrication, and position welding of carbon steel and pipework systems.
• TIG / MMA (Stick) welding on site pipework to commercial/industrial standards.
• Reading and working from isometric drawings and site schematics.
• Assisting with pipe preparation, tacking, fitting, and final tie-ins.

Essential Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card or JIB-PMES / Engineering Services SKILLcard.
• Active or previous Coded Qualifications (TIG / MMA - BS EN ISO 9606-1 or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting / Welding or recognized Indentured Apprenticeship.
• Proven experience working on commercial M&E, fuel oil, cooling loops, or heavy plant installations.
• Full personal PPE and standard hand tools.

Pay & Hours

• Pay Rate: £25.00 per hour (Paid CIS / Umbrella).
• Working Hours: 45 hours per week (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Mon-Fri).
• Weekly Pay: Paid direct every Friday.
