A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COCKTAIL BARTENDER AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY

What you'll be doing...

As a Cocktail Bartender, you will report directly to the Bar Manager and work closely with the Bar team, bringing an unparalleled level of service embodying a "no half measures" attitude to provide the perfect guest experience.

• Preparing all beverages for guests in an efficient and timely fashion.
• Providing a friendly, welcoming, and unique guest experience.
• Providing knowledge and creative drink recommendations.
• Assessing guests’ needs and preferences and making recommendations using excellent product knowledge.
• Making useful upsell recommendations where applicable.
• Keeping the bar presentable and clean to the highest standard.
• Operating Challenge 25 policy to ensure safe service of alcohol.
• Complying with all food and beverage regulations.
• Adhering to pouring standards always and completing regular pour tests.
• Taking responsibility for tasks assigned by management and communicating any issues to supervisors/managers.
• Setting up and maintaining cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
• Preparing fresh garnishes for drinks. Stocking ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Transporting supplies to bar set-up area.

KEY SKILLS:

• In-depth understanding of all in-house products and how to prepare them.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails (ingredients, preparation, etc.).
• Understanding of licensing objectives and Challenge 25.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Ability to work well within the team to achieve brand and sales objectives.
