As a Coating Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the maintenance, preservation and operational readiness of Royal Navy submarines, warships and key marine infrastructure. Working within the Surveying Section of the Marine Platform Support Group, part of our Technical Design Division, you\'ll provide specialist coating and paint inspection expertise that helps extend asset life, maintain safety standards and protect some of the UK\'s most important defence capabilities.
Day-to-day, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to combine technical inspection, quality assurance and customer engagement while developing your expertise in a highly specialised engineering environment. Your work will directly support critical defence programmes and contribute to the long-term sustainability of vital naval assets.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week, and is based at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Relevant engineering or trade experience, gained through formal qualifications, apprenticeship training, industry-recognised certification (e.g. ICorr, IMO PSPC), or substantial hands-on experience in a similar role.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC)) security clearance for this role.
