Job summary

BYLOR Joint Venture is delivering the main civil works at Hinkley Point C in Somerset. A Project Engineer will support the Senior Project Manager in coating stage coordination and delivery, driving productivity and ensuring blockers are addressed.

You will prepare progress reports and assist with RFI responses, supporting readiness of work fronts for efficient coating commencement. The role requires 5+ years in civil engineering or large projects, coating experience, and prior Temporary Works

Qualifications

5 years+ experience in civil engineering roles or large complex projects.
Coating experience is required.
Experience managing people in project environments.
Must have experience working as a Temporary Works Coordinator.
Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

Managing an engineering team to sustain a culture of “right first time” with safety.
Ensure site operations are controlled by safe systems of work and approved methods.
Lead the ITP process in the engineering team.
Drive productivity across Stage 1 coatings with schedule adherence and resource tracking.
Manage stakeholders, subcontractors, and client relations.
Coordinate with procurement on materials to avoid programme delays.
Evaluate alternative solutions for effectiveness.
