Job summary

KAEFER UK & Ireland is recruiting Coatings Operatives for the Hinkley Point C site on a permanent contract. The role involves coating containment liners and surface protection for concrete within nuclear facilities, with emphasis on health, safety and compliance.

You will perform surface prep, apply coating systems, and support quality checks while adhering to site safety standards and using various access equipment. Previous nuclear/construction exposure is desirable.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in Coatings, Blasting or Spraying.
• Experience on Nuclear & Construction site desirable.
• Ability to follow instruction due to workload changes.
• Proactive team player with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of surface preparation and coating systems.
• Comply with HPC and KAEFER safety standards at all times.
• Safely use access equipment including MEWPs.
• Carry out surface preparation using hand and mechanical methods.
• Apply single-pack and two-pack paints, primers and high-build coatings.
• Utilise brush, roller and spray techniques with equipment setup awareness.
• Support quality control with WFT/DFT checks and environmental readings.
