Job summary

Inplace Personnel Services Ltd is seeking an Inspector for a specialist manufacturing facility in Alfreton. You will read micrometers and verniers, inspect against engineering drawings, and work with hand tools for light fabrication and panel beating.

This temp-to-perm role requires a proactive team player with quality control experience, strong communication, and the ability to follow documented procedures, company SOPs and PPE guidelines. Overtime may be required to meet business needs.

• Previous quality experience (aerospace/liquid coatings preferred).

Job description

My client are currently seeking an Inspector for their specialist manufacturing facility based in Alfreton.

Your day to day duties will include, but won't be limited to;

• Reading micrometers, verniers, general inspection and measuring equipment
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Working with hand tools and air tools, eg hand drills, files, die grinders, pencil grinders, hacksaws and taps, etc.
• Light fabrication work/panel beating
• Taking responsibility for quality control of own work, before and after finishing
• Following company standard working procedures
• Basic computer skills
• Following clear instructions and documented procedures
• Following guidelines Health and Safety and use of PPE equipment
• Understanding paperwork/route card discipline

Requirements;

• Previous quality experience (preferably aerospace/liquid coatings)
• Excellent communicator, collaborator and team player
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work over-time as/when needed to meet business needs
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Able to follow clear instructions and follow documented procedures
• Ability to recognise problems when they arise and to communicate these to management

• Exemplary time-keeping and attendance

Hours of work are;

• Monday to Thursday - 7am - 3:30pm
• Friday - 7am - 2pm

(Overtime available upon request)

This role is being offered on a 'Temp to Perm' basis and so we are only looking to hear from candidates looking for long term work.
