An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for a Coach Builder/ Accident Repairer to join Arriva, based at our Repair centre in Derby Depot.

The Coach Builder will carry out effective repairs and planned maintenance to all company vehicles, ensuring that all repairs adhere to DETR guidelines and the company’s Standard Maintenance Policy. Upon completion, ensure all vehicles are safe and roadworthy.

The role of a Coach Builder will involve:

• Ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of all passengers and other road users.
• Carrying out repairs to DETR and company standards, complying with legislation.
• Performing repairs effectively and economically.
• Possessing a valid driving license sufficient to test relevant vehicles on public roads.
• Adhering to Safe Working practices and prioritizing Health and Safety.
• Carrying out all engineering functions relevant to the job scope.
• Minimizing repair costs and engineering lost mileage.
• Being flexible to work at other locations within the company on a temporary basis if needed.

Requirements of a Coach Builder:

• Qualified with experience in a PSV vehicle workshop as a body builder/coach maker.
• Motivated team player capable of working independently and solving problems using initiative.
• Committed to safety, with induction and development provided.
