The Audit Committee is a cornerstone of Somerset Council’s governance framework, providing independent scrutiny of risk management, internal controls, and audit processes.

As a Co-opted Member, you’ll:

• Bring an independent perspective to key decisions
• Help ensure public funds are managed responsibly
• Support effective internal and external audit practices
• Contribute to the integrity and efficiency of local government
