Job summary

COREcruitment is recruiting a Senior Sous Chef or Co-Head Chef for a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant near London Bridge. You will lead a busy kitchen, run lunch and dinner services, and play a key role in developing a talented team in an open-fire cooking environment.

The role offers progression to Head Chef, a 4 days on, 3 days off pattern, and a salary of £48,000–£50,000 with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Senior Sous Chef experience or Head Chef level experience.
• Experience leading a team during high-volume services.
• Strong standards in food quality, consistency and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team alongside senior management.
• Run busy lunch and dinner services.
• Take responsibility for the kitchen when senior management are away.
• Lead the pass and make decisions during service.
• Support and develop the wider chef team.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
• Ensure health and safety and kitchen standards are maintained.
• Manage prep, service and close-down.
• Help develop and refine dishes and menus.
• Train and coach junior members of the team.
• Keep the kitchen organised and well prepared.
• Create a positive and respectful kitchen culture.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and wider management team.
