Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator for a role in North Staffordshire. You will set and operate CNC turning machines and produce components to engineering drawings and precise specifications within a demanding manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid manufacturing background. Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm with overtime available; up to £19 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a CNC machining/manufacturing environment (ESSENTIAL).
• Experience with CNC turning/lathe operations (ESSENTIAL).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (ESSENTIAL).
• Solid manufacturing background (ESSENTIAL).

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC turning machinery.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ensure components are produced accurately and to specification.
• Carry out quality checks and identify any issues during production.
• Diagnose and resolve machining and production problems.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work independently while contributing effectively as part of the wider manufacturing team.
• Support continuous improvement and contribute ideas for improving processes and efficiency.
