Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join their machining team in North Staffordshire. You will set and operate CNC turning equipment, read engineering drawings, and produce components to tight specifications.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, quality control, and working both independently and as part of a wider manufacturing team. Overtime may be available; salary up to £19 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machining/manufacturing environment is essential.
• Experience with CNC turning/lathe operations is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.
• Solid manufacturing background and practical problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC turning machinery.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ensure components are produced accurately and to specification.
• Carry out quality checks and identify issues during production.
• Diagnose and resolve machining and production problems.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work independently while contributing as part of the wider team.
• Support continuous improvement and contribute ideas for improving processes and efficiency.
