Job summary

The Collective Network Limited in Newbury seeks an experienced CNC Turner for the weekend shift, programming, editing and running Okuma turning machines to a very high standard.

Shifts run Friday to Sunday, 06:00 to 18:30 with a 30 minute break. The role offers up to £50,000 with a 25% shift premium, plus pension, private healthcare, life assurance and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• A formal apprenticeship, or equivalent turning and general engineering experience.
• Confidence working unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Real focus and attention to detail.
• A good grasp of how different materials behave.
• CMM or automated measuring experience is a plus, though they'll train you. Automotive, aerospace or motorsport backgrounds will stand out.

Responsibilities

• Programme, edit and operate Okuma turning machines.
• Work from detailed engineering drawings and picture the finished part before you cut it.
• Follow quality control procedures and document your work as you go.
• Package components properly so nothing gets damaged on the way out.

Our client is an established precision engineering business producing high-performance components, and they're growing. They need an experienced CNC Turner for their weekend shift, programming, editing and running Okuma machines to a very high standard.

You'll

• Programme, edit and operate Okuma turning machines
• Work from detailed engineering drawings and picture the finished part before you cut it
• Follow quality control procedures and document your work as you go
• Package components properly so nothing gets damaged on the way out

You'll need
