Job summary

Cluett Reeve Ltd. is seeking an experienced CNC Turner for night shift in Ferndown, Dorset. You will operate CNC turning centres (FANUC and Mazak), program and edit NC programs, and ensure parts meet drawing requirements to aerospace standards.

The role offers an immediate start with a competitive hourly rate up to £23 plus 33% shift allowance, benefits including pension and life assurance, and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship completed.
• Minimum 5 years’ aerospace machining experience.
• Experience in a busy subcontract machine shop.
• Proficient programming and editing NC programs.
• Able to work unsupervised, flexible and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC turning centres (FANUC and Mazak).
• Program and edit NC programs to drawings.
• Ensure parts meet drawing requirements.
• Complete quality check sheets and OEE records.
• Create and update set-up sheets.
• Follow aerospace safety protocols and PPE.

Join the team as a CNC Turner, producing precision components through careful machine operation and attention to detail. You'll work with engineering drawings and tooling to support accurate, consistent production. This is a night-shift role.

Up to £23 per hour PLUS 33% Shift Allowance, depending on experience

Our client is a long-established precision engineering company with a first-class reputation for quality and responsiveness. They produce complex, quality-critical machined components and assemblies, and they're recruiting for their modern, well-equipped CNC machine shop in Dorset.

Hours

Monday to Thursday 15.30 to 01.45

What you'll be doing

• Setting and running CNC turning centres (FANUC and Mazak)
• Programming and editing NC programs
• Making sure every part meets drawing requirements
• Completing check sheets as quality records and OEE sheets to support continuous improvement
• Creating and updating set-up sheets
• Preventing FOD contamination, following aerospace protocols and working safely, including correct use of PPE

What we're looking for

• Time-served apprenticeship

• Proven background in a busy sub-contract machine shop
• Competent at programming and editing NC programs
• Able to work unsupervised, and self-motivated, flexible and well organised
