Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd in Gloucester is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Setter to join a precision engineering team. You will set and operate fixed-head CNC lathes and work with Fanuc controls to deliver components to tight specifications.

Training will extend into Millturn and sliding-head machinery, with clear path to higher rates as skills expand. Overtime is available and a supportive, long-term development-focused environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC turning experience and setting fixed-head lathes.
• Experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Knowledge of tooling, offsets and machine setup.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate fixed-head CNC lathes.
• Work with Fanuc-controlled machinery and ensure tolerances.
• Produce components from engineering drawings.
• Set tooling, offsets and workholding.
• Perform tool changes and machine adjustments.
• Inspect components using precision measuring equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and meet production targets.
