Job summary

A UK precision engineering company is seeking an experienced CNC Turner, either Fixed Head or Sliding Head. You will set and operate turning centres and may program when appropriate, with training provided.

You’ll work in a small, supportive team, inspecting components with measuring equipment, reading drawings, and maintaining strict quality. Regular overtime and ongoing training are offered. Excellent pay depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC turning centres.
• Programming experience (advantageous but not essential).
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC turning centres.
• Programming CNC machines where experience allows.
• Working on Miyano (Fixed Head) or Star (Sliding Head) machines, or similar CNC turning centres.
• Using Fanuc controls or similar control systems.
• Inspecting components using measuring equipment.
• Reading and working from engineering drawings.
• Maintaining quality standards throughout production.
