Job summary

Workforce Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Setter to join a Gloucester precision engineering business. You will set and operate fixed-head CNC lathes using Fanuc controls, producing high quality components to engineering drawings and customer specifications, with responsibilities that include tooling, offsets, workholding and accurate inspection.

Training will cover Millturn lathe setup, sliding-head CNC machining and more advanced processes, enabling you to increase your hourly

Qualifications

• Must have previous CNC turning experience and be confident setting and operating fixed-head lathes.
• Experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes is essential.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and interpret specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment and maintaining tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating fixed-head CNC lathes
• Working with Fanuc-controlled machinery
• Producing precision-turned components to engineering drawings and specifications
• Setting tooling, offsets and workholding
• Carrying out tool changes and machine adjustments
• Inspecting components using measuring equipment
• Maintaining tight dimensional tolerances and high-quality standards
• Working with a range of materials and varying batch sizes
• Working independently while contributing to a skilled engineering team
