Job summary

First Base is recruiting a CNC Turner Setter Operator for our Bristol manufacturing sites. You will set and operate Fanuc-controlled turning machines to manufacture precision components from engineering drawings, ensuring first-off inspection and conformity to tolerances.

The role offers shift premiums and a competitive salary, with opportunities to develop programming skills. Candidates with basic turning experience are encouraged to apply; more senior operators may command higher pay.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.
• Ability to set tooling and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience measuring with micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and plug gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Turning machines using Fanuc controls to manufacture components per drawings and specs.
• Set tooling, establish datums, perform first-off and in-process inspection with gauges.
• Maintain quality targets, troubleshoot tooling/programming issues, and document production accurately.
