Job summary

Interaction Technical in Northamptonshire is seeking a skilled CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator for a permanent role in their precision machining team. You will program, set and run Fanuc lathe machines, producing components to tight tolerances and customer specs.

The role offers an engaging environment and ongoing training. Based in Northampton, the successful candidate will work a 38-hour week with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Time-served CNC Turner with programming, setting and operating experience.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience machining exotic alloys.
• Competent using inspection and measuring equipment.
• High attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC turning machines.
• Produce precision components to customer specifications.
• Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings.
• Machine materials including Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy.
• Inspect and verify components to tight tolerances.
• Conduct in-process and final quality checks.
• Maintain safe working practices and housekeeping standards.
• Support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.

CNC Turner Setter & Operator

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (38-hour week) - £40,000-£45,000 OTE

Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:30 or 07:00-15:30, Friday 06:00-12:00

The Role

As a CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.
