JRS Associates Ltd in the Ripley area is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join the manufacturing team. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to produce low-volume, high-integrity components ranging from 600mm to 2,200mm in diameter.

The successful candidate will work with materials including stainless steel, titanium and aluminium on demanding projects for nuclear, power generation and aerospace industries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a precision CNC turning environment.
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Experience machining components to tight tolerances.
• Experience working with stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys and aluminium.

JRS Associates have partnered up with a well-established precision engineering business in the Ripley area to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner with experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to work on large, complex, high-integrity components.

The business manufactures precision-engineered components for demanding industries including nuclear, power generation and aerospace.

The successful candidate will be working on low-volume, high-integrity components, typically ranging from 600mm to 2,200mm in diameter, using a variety of materials including stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys and aluminium.

The Successful CNC Turner - The Package

• £17.82–£21.17 per hour, negotiable depending on experience
• Permanent day shift

The Successful CNC Turner - Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience within a precision CNC turning environment.
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Experience machining components to tight tolerances.
• Experience working with a variety of engineering materials.
• Apprenticeship trained, time served or qualified to NVQ Level 3 or higher.
• Experience with Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls would be advantageous.
• Previous experience machining large-diameter components would be beneficial.
• Experience within nuclear, aerospace, power generation or similar high-integrity engineering sectors would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality components.
