Job summary

Cherry Professional Ltd on behalf of an innovative engineering manufacturer is seeking a skilled CNC Turner in Hertfordshire. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines on prototype and low-volume production components, delivering high-precision parts to tight tolerances.

You will work closely with design engineers to develop practical manufacturing solutions, support tooling and process development, inspect parts with various measuring tools, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a CNC machining or precision engineering environment.
• Strong CNC turning experience, including programming, setting and operating.
• Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Knowledge of Mazak/Mazatrol machinery would be highly advantageous.
• Milling experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC machine tools.
• Manufacturing prototype and low-volume production components.
• Producing high-precision parts to tight tolerances.
• Working closely with design engineers on new and existing products.
• Supporting tooling, fixture and process development activities.
• Inspecting components using a variety of measuring equipment.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency initiatives.
