Job summary

ABS Talent Ltd is recruiting a CNC Turner / Programmer (Mazak) for a precision engineering firm in Hampshire. This permanent, full-time role offers a modern workshop with the latest Mazak machines, a 37.5-hour week, and a competitive salary of £50,000–£55,000 depending on experience.

You will program and operate CNC lathes, including live-tooling, producing high-tolerance components from metals and plastics.

The opportunity

ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Turner / Programmer on behalf of a forward-thinking precision engineering company with a modern, well-equipped workshop running some of the latest Mazak machines.

The role

• Programming and operating CNC lathes, including live-tooling machines


• Producing high-tolerance precision components to the highest standards


• Machining a variety of metals and plastics


• Working to tight tolerances with excellent attention to detail


• Maintaining a clean, organised workspace

About you

• Experienced CNC Turner


• Mazatrol experience essential


• Live-tooling experience desirable


• A highly accurate and efficient worker


• Experience machining a range of metals and plastics


• Experience of high-tolerance work


• Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality

Hours / shift patterns (37.5-hour week)

• Late shift: 13:30-22:15 Monday to Thursday, 13:30-18:00 Friday


• Early shift: 06:00-14:00 Monday to Friday
