Job summary

Actio Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Turner (Programmer/Setter/Operator) in Oxfordshire. You will program, set and operate multi-axis CNC lathes to produce high‑precision components for demanding industries, using Goodway and DMG machines.

The role requires strong Fanuc controls experience, high attention to detail, and the ability to work from drawings and 3D models. Overtime and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire Salary: £19 - £22 per hour Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent

About the Role

A precision engineering manufacturer is looking for an experienced CNC Turner (Programmer/Setter/Operator) to join their team. You will be responsible for producing complex, high‑accuracy components for a wide range of industries including motorsport, automotive, scientific, medical, aerospace and renewable energy. This is a hands‑on role working with modern multi‑axis CNC lathes, delivering high‑quality machined parts to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate multi‑axis CNC lathes (Goodway and DMG machines).
• Manufacture complex components from customer drawings and 3D models.
• Carry out manual inspection and ensure all work meets required standards.
• Follow workplace processes and maintain accurate documentation.
• Operate more than one machine when required.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience with Fanuc controls.
• Confident programming, setting and operating CNC multi‑axis lathes.
• Background in producing high‑precision components to fine tolerances.
• Experience working with materials such as Aerospace Alloys, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Titanium and Magnesium.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain high‑quality surface finishes.
