Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Luton is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision manufacturing team producing components for critical industries. You will program, set and operate CNC turning machines to engineering drawings, ensuring tight tolerances and on-time delivery.

The role requires at least 5 years of CNC Turner experience, reading ISO drawings, and familiarity with micrometres and Vernier calipers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as CNC Turner (programming, setting, operating).
• Able to read and work from ISO engineering drawings.
• Skilled with precision measuring tools (micrometres, vernier calipers).
• Basic IT skills and understanding of 5S principles.

Responsibilities

• Set, program and operate CNC turning machines.
• Manufacture components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• Produce and modify tooling, jigs, fixtures, and moulds.

Salary: £46,176.91 Overtime and company benefits
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 0600-14:00/14:00-22:00

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a highly skilled manufacturing team producing precision-engineered components for critical industries including Oil & Gas, Power, Defence, and Nuclear. Working within a modern machining facility, you will support low-volume, high-quality production using both CNC and manual machine tools.

The Role

As a CNC Turner you'll be responsible for manufacturing precision parts and sub-assemblies to engineering drawings, ensuring quality, accuracy, and production targets are consistently achieved while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
