Job summary

Workforce Staffing is recruiting for an established precision engineering business in Romsey, Hampshire for a CNC Turner/Programmer on a permanent basis. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components from single units to batches of 40, using engineering drawings and technical specs.

You will set tooling, offsets and work-holding, ensure tight tolerances, and perform quality checks throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
• Strong programming and setting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience producing precision, tight-tolerance components.
• Good understanding of tooling, cutting conditions and machining processes.
• Fanuc programming experience would be beneficial.
• Aerospace or other high-precision engineering experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC turning machines.
• Produce precision components from one-off through to batches of 40.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Set tooling, offsets and work-holding.
• Ensure components are produced accurately and to required tolerances.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the machining process.
• Make programme and offset adjustments where required.
• Work as part of a skilled and experienced precision engineering team.
