Job summary

Optical Precision is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to program, set and operate a Doosan Puma 2600 lathe. The role focuses on precise machining for small batch runs and requires reading engineering drawings with tight tolerances.

You will work either unsupervised or as part of a skilled team in a on-site environment in Greater London. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in CNC turning, is proficient in Fanuc controls, and can produce components to high accuracy.

Qualifications

• Extensive CNC turning experience (min 5 Years).
• Ability to write and prove programs, ideally with Fanuc controls.
• A good all round knowledge of machining various materials.
• Able understand engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Program, set & operate a Doosan Puma 2600 lathe.
• Work on small batch sizes (1-10 offs).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Work unsupervised and as part of a team.

CNC Turner, Programmer, Setter

Experienced CNC Turner required to program, set & operate a Doosan Puma 2600 single turret lathe with C & Y Axis

Hourly rate £20-£22 per hour, plus overtime and benefits

CNC Turner, Programmer, Setter - Candidates should have the following skills and experience:

• Extensive CNC turning experience (min 5 Years)


• Ability to write and prove programs, ideally with Fanuc controls


• A good all round knowledge of machining various materials.


• Ability to work unsupervised, and as part of a team.


• Experience of working with small batch sizes; such as 1-10 offs.


• Able understand engineering drawings.


• Able to work to a high level of precision with tight tolerances and time schedules.
