Job summary

Workshop Recruitment seeks a skilled CNC Turner/Miller in Portsmouth to set up, programme, and operate turning and milling machines. You will produce precision components from technical drawings and interpret CAD models accurately.

The role requires reading CAD drawings, using Siemens or Fanuc controls, selecting tooling, and performing quality inspections with standard measuring equipment. This is a permanent position with a £30-40K salary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CNC Turner / Miller in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to programme CNC machines from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of both CNC turning and milling processes.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Familiarity with Siemens, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls.
• Good understanding of tooling, fixtures, and machine setup.
• Competent using hand tools, workshop equipment, and measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach.
