Job summary

WF Tech are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision engineering team in Hertfordshire. You will set and operate turning machines, interpret engineering drawings and ensure components meet tight tolerances on high-precision parts.

The role offers modern DMG MORI machines, CELOS controls and opportunities to work on complex components. You will collaborate with inspection teams to maintain quality, with overtime available and a strong order book supporting ongoing work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a precision CNC subcontract environment.
• Strong experience setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience carrying out first-off inspection checks.
• Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a team.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC turning machines.
• Prove out new jobs and edit machine offsets.
• Carry out first-off inspection checks and read drawings.
• Ensure tolerances and drawing requirements are met.
• Work with inspection teams to verify quality.
• Plan production with Team Leaders to minimise downtime.
