Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is sourcing a skilled CNC Turner – Programmer, Setter & Operator for a precision engineering subcontractor. You will program, set, and operate CNC multi-axis lathes, ensuring components from prototypes to medium batches meet exact drawings and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a subcontract precision environment, strong Fanuc/Manual Guide knowledge, bar-feed experience, and the ability to reset machines multiple times daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in subcontract precision engineering.
• Strong experience programming, setting and operating CNC multi-axis lathes.
• Solid knowledge of Fanuc and Manual Guide controls.
• Experience with bar feed systems.
• Ability to independently change and reset machines multiple times daily.
• Strong reading of drawings, tolerances and inspection requirements.
• Attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
• First-off inspections using verniers, micrometers, thread gauges.

Responsibilities

• Program, set, and operate CNC multi-axis lathes.
• Manufacture components from prototypes through to medium batch production.
• Work in a fast-paced subcontract environment with frequent job changes.
• Set and reset machines independently several times per day.
• Work with lathes equipped with bar feed systems.
• Inspect own work to meet drawings and quality requirements.
• Carry out first-off inspections using verniers, micrometers, thread gauges.
