Job summary

Streamline Search is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a specialist precision engineering business in the UK. You will program, set and operate CNC turning machinery, reading detailed drawings and maintaining tight tolerances across prototypes to medium batch runs.

The role requires strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and Manual Guide, with a hands-on, proactive attitude and a focus on quality workmanship. Enjoy overtime opportunities and a retention bonus.

Qualifications

• Strong experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning machinery.
• 5+ years experience in subcontract precision engineering.
• Good knowledge of Fanuc and Manual Guide controls.
• Experience with CNC multi-axis turning machinery and bar-fed lathes.
• Ability to read detailed engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset.
• Reliable, proactive and well organized with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC multi-axis turning machinery to manufacture precision components.
• Work with Fanuc controls and Manual Guide.
• Produce prototypes through to medium batch runs.
• Read and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
• Select tooling and machining parameters.
• Set and change machines multiple times per day.
• Inspect own work with verniers, micrometres and thread gauges.
• Maintain production standards and safe, tidy work area.
