Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd, a Leicester-based precision engineering company, is recruiting a CNC Turner to set, operate and fault-find turning machines to produce components from engineering drawings.

You will inspect parts with gauges, maintain quality, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Applicants should have experience in busy shops and reading drawings; Fanuc or Siemens controls are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC turning machines in a busy manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and fault-find CNC turning machines
• Produce precision components to engineering drawings and required specifications
• Carry out in-process deburring and self-inspection
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure components meet specifications
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout manufacturing

Job Title: CNC Turner

Location: Leicestershire, LE18

Hourly Rate: £19.59 per hour

Shift: Rotating shift pattern

Morning Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 2:30pm; Friday, 6:00am - 11:30am

Afternoon Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 2:30pm; Friday, 11:30am - 5:00pm
