Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business in Sheffield. You will work on large-scale components in a dynamic production environment, setting and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts.

The ideal candidate has proven CNC Turner experience, strong knowledge of Fanuc and/or Fagor controls, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Overhead crane experience is essential and attention to detail is a must.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc and/or Fagor controls.
• Experience machining large components (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Overhead crane experience is essential.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components
• Machining parts up to 10-12 metres in length

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to work on large-scale components in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Turner

• Setting and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components
• Machining parts up to 10-12 metres in length
• Working with Fanuc and Fagor control systems
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Safely operating overhead cranes for handling large components
• Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety

Requirements of a CNC Turner

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc and/or Fagor controls
• Experience machining large components (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Overhead crane experience is essential

Working Hours

Operating a 3 shift system (40 hours per week):

Optional hours of the below:

• 06:00 - 14:30
• 07:30 - 16:00
• 14:00 - 22:00

Pay

• Starting from £16.00 per hour
