Job summary

16 Resourcing Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machinery with minimal supervision, following health and safety guidelines. Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred.

You will read engineering drawings, program and edit online, and ensure parts meet tolerances. Overtime may be available; hours 07:30-16:30 Mon-Thu, 07:30-14:00 Fri. Forklift licence is a bonus; Apprentice trained candidates considered.

Qualifications

• Fully trained in CNC/Manual lathe operation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Online programming and editing using Fanuc is required.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD/OneCNC) is preferred.
• Apprentice trained or qualified by experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate CNC machines safely.
• Ensure equipment runs smoothly, efficiently and within tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, neat and organised work area.
• Use gauges and measuring instruments to verify finished goods.
• Follow all quality policies, specifications and instructions.

Overview

The role of CNC Machinist is to complete all works with no supervision and the ability to set up and operate the CNC machinery, whilst adhering to all shop floor Health & Safety guidelines. experienced using Fanuc

• Responsibilities:To safely set up, program and operate CNC Machines whilst adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure equipment/ machinery is running smoothly, efficiently and to optimum requirements.
• Maintain a clean, neat and organised work area
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering and machining principles
• Compliance with all quality policies and specifications, and instructions
• Use of gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements of finished goods.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result

Skills/ Experience

• Fully trained in operation of CNC / Manual Lathes
• Ability to read/ interpret engineering drawings.
• Online programming and editing essential -Fanuc
• Experience in CAD/ CAM such as AutoCAD/ OneCNC beneficial.
• Apprentice trained preferred but qualified by experience considered.
• Fork truck licence beneficial
