Job summary

Swift is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a small team of skilled engineers. You will set, program and operate turning machines to manufacture precision components for automotive, marine and defence sectors.

The role requires interpreting drawings and GD&T, selecting proper tooling and optimization of speeds and feeds to achieve micron-level tolerances. Star sliding head lathe and Fanuc experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and programming CNC turning machines.
• Ability to interpret drawings and GD&T to tight tolerances.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls and Star sliding head lathes is ideal.
• Competence selecting tools, speeds and feeds for varied materials.

They are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join their small team of skilled engineers. Preferably you will be versed in using Star sliding head lathes with Fanuc controls:

• Set, program and operate CNC turning machines
• Manufacture complex components to tight, micron-level tolerances
• Work with exotic and difficult-to-machine materials
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds
