Job summary

Tap Zenn, based in Maldon, Essex, is seeking a CNC Setter/Operator to join our precision engineering team. The role covers setting and operating CNC lathes (Citizen and Miyano with Mitsubishi controls) from technical drawings, on an afternoon/evening shift Monday to Friday, with start times 2:00–4:00 pm and a finish at midnight.

We offer training in CNC Sliding Head and Fixed Head technology, a clean and safe working environment, and opportunities for progression within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in CNC turning.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of tool data, thread geometry, and tool charts.
• Solid mechanical engineering background.
• Willingness to learn CNC Sliding Head and Fixed Head technology.

CNC Setter / Operator

1 Positions

Location: Maldon, Essex

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

No weekend work.

Position

Hours: Afternoon/Evening shift, Monday to Friday, start time between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm, finishing at midnight.

We are an established precision engineering company, operating for over 30 years, based in Maldon, Essex, and we are seeking a CNC Setter/Operator to join our team.

You will be working on Citizen and Miyano lathes, predominantly using Mitsubishi controls, producing precision-engineered components directly from technical drawings.
