Job summary

MTrec Technical is seeking a CNC Machine Setter for a permanent position. You will read drawings, set up and run CNC machines with Fanuc or Mazatrol controls, and select turning inserts for various materials.

The role includes a 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights), overtime when needed, and opportunities to train others. Cycle to work scheme is available as a perk.

Qualifications

• Ideally a skilled CNC Machinist with Fanuc or Mazatrol experience.
• Able to read imperial and metric drawings and tolerance charts.
• Willing to work overtime and shifts as required to meet customer needs.
• Capable of passing on knowledge and training others.
• Follow SOP.

Responsibilities

• Understand tolerances, geometric tolerances and surface finishes.
• Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, plug gauges and ring gauges.
• Run a range of CNC machines with Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.

The rate of pay advertised includes shift premium, working 12 hour shifts rotating between days and nights.

The Job youll do

• Reading drawings in imperial and metric sizes.
• Understanding tolerances, geometric tolerances and surface finishes.
• Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs and ring gauges.
• Ability to run a range of CNC machines with Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.
• Be familiar with selecting the correct turning insert styles and grades for a range of materials.

About You

• Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment
• Ideally a skilled CNC Machinist with previous experience on Fanuc or Mazatrol.
• Willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements
• Willing to work shifts.
• Flexible willing to be training in other machining processes.
• Capable of passing on knowledge and training others.
• Follow SOP.
