Job summary

EMBS Recruitment Ltd, in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, seeks a CNC Turner to join their Maidenhead shop floor as a Setter/Operator. You will set and run a Mori Seiki RL253, producing precision components to tight tolerances from engineering drawings.

Applicants should have CNC turning experience and strong Fanuc controls knowledge, with a readiness to progress within a busy, quality-focused environment. Day shifts, permanent role, with competitive hours.

EMBS Recruitment Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Maidenhead, Berkshire, that is currently in the market for a CNC Turner to join their company on a permanent basis.

This market leader is a well-established entity within the precision engineering and motorsport industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety-critical, highly complex components.

Off the back of continued growth and a strong pipeline of new work, our client is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join their busy machine shop as a Setter/Operator, running a Mori Seiki RL253.

Please note, due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents; we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities will include:

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting and operating a Mori Seiki RL253, working to tight tolerances on safety-critical precision components.

You will:

• Set and operate the Mori Seiki RL253 using Fanuc controls
• Work from engineering drawings to produce components to tight tolerances
• Carry out in-process inspection to ensure parts meet specification
• Work proactively and flexibly, supporting the wider machine shop where needed
• Contribute ideas and challenge existing processes to help drive continuous improvement

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• A precision engineering or advanced manufacturing background
• CNC turning experience as a setter/operator
• Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls
• A willingness to learn and progress within the business
• The confidence to ask for help when needed, or to challenge and suggest improvements to existing processes
