Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is exclusively managing a CNC Turner role with a long-standing engineering business near Cardiff. You will program, set and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc controls) from drawings and may use CAM software. On-site role with good earning potential and benefits.

You'll join a busy production team, ensure components meet drawing tolerances, support housekeeping and safety, and contribute to continuous improvement as you grow your skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in CNC turning or precision machining.
• Proven ability to programme, set and operate CNC lathes.
• Ability to read drawings and tolerances with attention to detail.

• Inspect components to ensure they meet drawing tolerances, to the quality required

CNC Programmer/Setter - Turning

Cardiff Outskirts - easily accessible from M4 and most locations

£44,000 + Bonus + OT + Medical + EAP + Pension + Life Assurance + Annual salary review

Yolk Recruitment is exclusively managing a new CNC Turner opportunity with this long-standing engineering business, a key supplier to a global AAA client base with a strong long-term order book and significant growth plans ahead.

This is a Programmer/Setter role, working with a range of machinery on site, primarily with fanuc controls The ideal candidate will be able to programme at the machine from drawings, and use CAM software, though existing skills can be developed.

This is what you'll be doing:

• Programme, set and operate CNC lathes to manufacture high-precision components in line with engineering drawings and required tolerances.
• Inspect components to ensure they meet drawing tolerances, to the quality required
• Support the wider production team, maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety, and providing guidance to colleagues where required.

The experience you'll need in this role:

• Previous experience working in a similar CNC Turning or precision machining role, ideally with 3-5 years' experience.
• Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional tolerances, with strong attention to detail.
