Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Machinist in Cardiff to set, program and operate CNC lathes for one-off and batch components used in heavy industrial equipment.

The role focuses on Siemens Sinumerik ShopTurn programming, precision measurement and strict quality control, with consistent day shifts and an early finish on Fridays. This is a permanent, full-time position with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Time-served Turner/Toolmaker with proven machining experience.
• Proficiency in operating and setting up CNC lathes.
• Experience programming Siemens Sinumerik ShopTurn software.
• Ability to read and interpret geometric engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision measurement techniques and inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC lathes to produce high-quality components.

Cardiff | £16.94 per hour (£34,354.32 per annum) + Regular Overtime | Monday-Friday | 39 Hours per Week | Full-Time | Permanent | ASAP Start

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established engineering and fabrication company based in Cardiff for an experienced CNC Turner Machinist.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Siemens Sinumerik ShopTurn lathe programming.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the client's repair and servicing workshop, where you'll set, program and operate CNC lathes, producing one-off and batch components for heavy industrial equipment.

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday, 8am-4:30pm.

Friday, 8am-3pm.

39 basic hours per week.
